How do I know if my driveshaft needs repair?

Common symptoms are vibration that increases with speed, a clunking noise when shifting into drive or reverse, squeaking from under the vehicle, or shuddering during acceleration. These usually point to worn U-joints, a failed center support bearing, or an unbalanced driveshaft. Bring the vehicle in for a free diagnosis.

Can you repair my driveshaft the same day?

Yes. Most driveshaft repairs, U-joint replacements and balancing jobs are completed the same day. Custom fabrication typically takes 1–3 business days depending on parts and specifications.

What is driveshaft balancing and why does it matter?

Driveshaft balancing spins the shaft at high RPM on a dynamic balancing machine and adds small weights to eliminate vibration. An unbalanced driveshaft causes vibration, premature wear on U-joints, transmission and differential seals, and can eventually fail. We balance every shaft we repair or build to factory specifications.
